Who controls your data

Mentis AI is a trade name of Mentis Tech, LLC, a limited liability company registered in Delaware, United States. Mentis Tech, LLC operates mentis-ai.net and is the controller of the personal data described below.

What we collect

Account data — your name, email address, and profile picture as provided by your sign-in provider, plus your plan, credit balance, and billing status.

Content you submit — the video files you upload, the post URLs you paste, the videos we retrieve from those URLs, and the analysis results, transcripts, and chat messages generated from them.

Usage data — pages viewed, features used, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser information, and session recordings of your activity inside our own web app.

Payment data — handled by Stripe. We receive the transaction result and subscription status; we never receive or store your full card number.

Why we process it

To create and secure your account, to run the analyses you request, to bill paid plans, to provide support, to detect abuse, and to understand how the product is used so we can improve it. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use your submitted videos to train our own models.

Who we share it with

We use the following sub-processors, all of which process data on our instructions:

• Google Cloud (Gemini, Cloud Storage) — AI video analysis and storage of your uploaded videos and results
• Ollama Cloud — text generation for the video chat agent and free research tools
• Supabase — application database, account records, analysis metadata
• Google Firebase — authentication and sign-in
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing
• PostHog — product analytics and session replay of our own web app
• Render and Netlify — application hosting and content delivery

We may also disclose data where required by law. Processing takes place primarily in the United States; if you are located elsewhere, your data is transferred there.

How long we keep it

Videos and analysis results stay in your account until you delete them or close your account. Account and billing records are kept while your account is active and afterwards only as long as needed for legal and accounting obligations. Product analytics are retained in aggregated or pseudonymised form.

Your rights

You can request access to your data, correction, export, or deletion — including full deletion of your account and stored videos — by emailing support@mentis-ai.net. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to certain processing or to complain to your data protection authority.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar local storage that are necessary to keep you signed in and to remember interface preferences, plus analytics cookies that help us measure how the product is used. You can clear or block them in your browser, though sign-in will not work without the essential ones.

Children

Mentis is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

Changes and contact
